IELTS/TOEFL/PTE (English Language Requirements)
Minimum IELTS score for USA student visa
- IELTS minimum of 5.5 for undergraduate students and a minimum of 6.0 for graduate students.
- TOEFL minimum of 70 for undergraduate students and a minimum of 80 for graduate students.
- TOEIC minimum of 650 for undergraduate students and a minimum of 700 for graduate students.
- Duolingo minimum of 75 for undergraduate students and a minimum of 90 for graduate students.
Note: Most universities in the United States accept an IELTS score of 6 to 6.5. However, to gain admission to a top-tier university in the United States, the student must score at least 7.

Requirements to study in the USA for International Students
- The fundamental necessities for the United States are Transcripts, diplomas, degrees, or certificates from the schools you have attended TOEFL, SAT, GRE, or GMAT scores from tests required by your US institution.
- Application form completed evidence of secondary school completion (usually 12 years of schooling)
Universities and colleges may require international students to take SATs to pursue an undergraduate degree. International students should take any of the following tests to be admitted to a graduate program:
- GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
- General Test of the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- Subject Test for the Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- Depending on university requirements, students may be required to take one or more of the tests mentioned above.
Other Important Test:
- Medicine – Medical College Entrance Exam (MCAT).
- Tests for Pharmacy College Admissions (PCAT).
- Dental Admission Examination (DAT).
- Veterinary Aptitude Examination (VCAT).
- Admission Test for Law School (LSAT).
Required materials for Visa Processing
In general, international student applicants must meet the following requirements to study in the USA:
- The Completed online application.
- Transcripts.
- Admissions to undergraduate programs: Transcripts from High School (must be in English).
- For graduate school admissions: Transcripts of Undergraduate Studies (official or officially notarized copy).
- Photocopy of Government-Issued Identification (international students need a passport, undocumented students need proof of residency).
- Recommendation Letters (2 letters from former teachers, employers, coaches, etc.)

- Statement of Account (as proof of adequate financial resources, for more information, please refer to Maple International Education).
- Evidence of English Proficiency (i.e. IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, BAU Placement Test).
- A $45.00 application fee is required.
Other Important Requirement:
International students must submit evidence that they can pay their course fees and manage their living expenses while in the United States as part of the student visa application process. Some institutions request this PoF before making an admission offer, while others demand it shortly after.
- Bank account statements are recognized as proof of funds.

Finally, different Recommendation letters are required for the Study Visa documents. A minimum of three reference letters are needed for a bachelor’s degree application. Meanwhile, two recommendation letters are sufficient for a master’s degree.
